Gluten-Free Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Protein Bars

2 cups wheat/gluten free rolled oats

1 cup raw almond butter

2 tablespoons hemp seeds

2/3 cup protein powder (I used Sun Warrior Vanilla)

½ cup honey

½ cup unsweetened applesauce

¼ cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips (preferably dairy-free)

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1. Roast the oats in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 350F.

2. Let them cool and then combine all of the ingredients in a mixer.  This makes a thick dough.

3. Spread the dough in a greased 9×13 pan and bake at 350F for 20 minutes until golden brown.
