What were your fitness and competition goals when you started training with Karen?

To be honest, I never really planned to compete. I have always worked out but wasn’t getting the results in achieving the look that I wanted. Once I started to train with Karen, I was amazed at not only the physique that I developed but also how good I felt. I always wanted to have beautiful abs and never thought that was possible after 2 children but with the diet and exercise routines, I was finally proud to show off my mid-section.

What are your main reasons for choosing Karen as your personal trainer?

I saw the results of Mandy who is a very close friend and trusted her when she told me what an amazing trainer Karen is.

What improvements have you achieved so far in your physique?

I have more energy, my skin looks better, and I have build muscles that I never thought possible. I have always been very lean and it is hard for me to put on any muscle. I love the look of my legs, chest and especially back.

What has benefited you the most when training with Karen?

I have learned so much from Karen in developing a healthy lifestyle. I have shared these concepts with many of my family and friends. I feel like I have a better understanding of the concepts of training muscles and how important diet is to your success.

What do you like most about your pre-contest training and diet?

I honestly enjoyed the strict diet because I didn’t have to think about my meals as they were always planned out by Karen. She provides easy choices and I liked that I didn’t have to think about what to eat and when.

Would you recommend Karen as a trainer?  Why?

Karen is very knowledgeable in every area of training and takes it very seriously. She is very positive and makes you want to train hard. Karen will push you to your limit, but almost knows your body better than you do. She will make you work hard but the results are worth it!

What is your favorite “cheat” or “indulgence” food?

Pizza, lattes and anything chocolate.

What is/are your favorite exercises?

Anything back and bicep. I love doing chin ups and feel so powerful when I can do 8 or 10. I love the looks you get in the gym when men see a girl doing 10 chin ups on her own.

What was/were your most memorable moments training with Karen?

Support support support! Karen was very supportive during some tough times. The day of my show, we had so much fun and I was very glad to have Karen there with me throughout the entire day. I admire her as both a trainer and now a friend and hope to work with Karen in the near future to conquer my next show.
