I’m grateful for amazing friends and family who make me smile, my health and my rewarding career.
This past weekend I was able to take a quick road trip with my Mom to Niagara. We had a blast! I honestly have not done this with my Mom in years and was glad that we had this time together.
The highlight of our trip was our ride on the Ferris wheel. If you have ever met my Mom, she is the sweetest, far from daredevil as you can get kind of person. She told me a story of how when I was a little girl she had to take me on the Ferris wheel and she was petrified. When we got to the top I started to panic and cry, she said that she was scared out of her mind and that she had to do everything in her power to keep her composure to calm me down. What a great Mom! So needless to say, I was surprised when she insisted on taking this ride! I was FREAKED out however thought how bad could this really be?
The first ride around I was frantic. I closed my eyes so tight that I had tears strolling down my face, I was sweating with anxiety and I was begging to get off. My Mom on the other hand was squirming all over, screaming to get off but laughing hysterically at the same time. She certainly was not doing a great job of calming me down! By our third round, Mom was calm and with her encouragement, I finally opened one eye then two and discovered how beautifully breathtaking the view was of the falls and surrounding area. I was able to take a few snap shots of us – what a great memory!
Thanks Mom for being my strength in life and for helping me recognize the beauty in any situation XO
