Often times we forget about the people who spend most days alone and do not have close friends and family. So, today I decided to go to the Oshawa Hospital and visit a few patients in Oncology who did not have loved ones coming to visit. Believe it or not, when my father was hospitalized during his cancer treatment I noticed that many patients were alone with no visitors; they would spend the day gazing out the window and watching the clock slowly tick by. It really hit my heart to see this. Today I took these beautiful flowers and left them for someone who could really use some cheering up and something to keep their spirits high while recovering. If you know of someone who may be alone or even spending time in a hospital make the time to reach out to show that you care, it only takes a few minutes and it brings so much warmth and happiness to their heart.
