Contest History: 1 year, 5th place in Novice Short
What were your fitness and competition goals when you started training with Karen?
To follow through with the goals that I had set out to achieve. I did just that and couldn’t believe how my body transformed in 3 short months! I loved the way I felt and looked. The diet I followed certainly paid off. My goal was to place in my first show and I did it! I proved to myself that I could set goals and achieve them.
What are your main reasons for choosing Karen as your personal trainer?
I started training with a trainer who never had communication with me so I was given Karen’s name and I went with her. I met her and absolutely loved her! She reassured me that I could do this, even with 3 weeks left for training before my show. She gave me the confidence that I needed. She is a very competent trainer with a lot of experience, even with her being in shows and placing 1st is awesome! I knew I made the right choice the minute I met her.
What improvements have you achieved so far in your physique since training with Karen?
My energy level was extremely high, my body transformation was incredible in such a short period of time, my overall physique was amazing. I loved the way I looked!
What has benefited you the most when training with Karen?
Karen showed me the confidence, knowledge and training experience she had. She pushed hard and never ever let me give up. When I felt anxiety she was very quick to relieve me of those feelings and always stayed very positive with me. She has a great sense of humor and always willing to give compliments.
What do you like most about your pre-contest training and diet?
My overall body transformation, healthy eating and the results I achieved at the end.
Would you recommend Karen as a trainer? Why?
Most definitely!! She is very trustworthy, honest, stays positive, she trains herself and has been in many shows, she is experienced and just simply a great person.
What are your favorite “diet” and “non-diet” foods?
Favorite diet food – chicken and rice
Favorite non-diet – chips, dip and chocolate!
What is/are your favorite exercises?
All arm and leg exercises. It kills to do leg exercises but they certainly pay off!
What are your most memorable moments training with Karen?
The day I met her, I loved her! I told her of all my feelings, she listened and sympathized. She helped me get on track, when I felt that I had fallen a little. She was with me every step of the way, always finding time for me to ensure I was ready for the show. The day of the show, she was with me every step of the way. Her superb support helped me not feel nervous at all at my first show.
What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?
My 1st show placing 5th, which doesn’t happen for first-timers! I followed my goals/dreams and accomplished them all by feeling/looking great! I am so proud of myself for following the diet, training incredibly hard 3 times a day and placing 5th in my first show!
