Years training: since I was 13!  (3 years with Karen)

Contest History:

IDFA 2007:  1st Place Novice, 1st Place Masters and 1st Place Overall in both Novice and Masters

IDFA 2008 – 2ND Place Open, 2nd Place Masters

What were your fitness and competition goals when you started training with Karen?

Wow…..that was 3 years ago.  Ok, at first I just wanted to compete once…and to see what I could do with my body.   Just how good of shape COULD I get in with the right tools and knowledge???  Then every year since I want to improve!

What are your main reasons for choosing Karen as your personal trainer?

I was recommended to Karen by a good friend who had competed.  Karen helped my friend backstage when my friend’s trainer didn’t show!!!!!!!  I looked into her credentials and I was sold!

What improvements have you achieved so far in your physique since training with Karen?

My body is not even the same body!  Even though I had worked out for years, within 6 months of training with Karen, my body was transformed!  I always call Karen a “miracle worker” especially with legs.  My legs were always my problem area – and Karen changed that.  In competitions, I often have the best legs!  WOW!!  Still blows me away!!  Everything has changed.  I now have a bum. (Non-existent before).  I have a body I am proud of thanks to Karen!

What has benefited you the most when training with Karen?

Where do I start????  Self esteem.  Knowledge.  Setting and reaching goals.  Karen has taught me so much!

What do you like most about your pre-contest training and diet?

I believe that Karen has an all natural, healthy, common sense approach to training and diet.

Would you recommend Karen as a trainer?  Why?

100%!!!!!!  And I do recommend her all the time!!!  Because I believe she is the best trainer around.  After 3 years, I wouldn’t trust anyone BUT Karen.

What are your favorite “diet” and “non-diet” foods?

I like sweet potato and flank steak…I still have a hard time believing I’m dieting when I eat it!  “Non-Diet” – Pizza and chocolate!!!

What is/are your favorite exercises?

I have a love/hate relationship with anything to do with training legs.  It’s hard – but it WORKS!!!

What are your most memorable moments training with Karen?

She is such a great support system!!  She is always there for her clients.  BUT – I saw her compete for the first time last month (after training with her for 3 years) and I was BLOWN AWAY!  I was humbled as a competitor!!!!  I had goose-bumps.  I kept turning to everyone around me and saying “THAT’S MY TRAINER”

What are your greatest fitness accomplishments so far?

Of course I am proud of my wins/trophies.  But I’m more proud of being able to set goals and follow through with them.  I couldn’t have done any of it without Karen’s help.
